Dr. Maria Montessori advocated the importance of providing an environment rich in materials that appealed to and engaged the child in their exploration and learning. Working with these materials, children developed concentration, independence and a love of learning.
Our Montessori classroom is a carefully prepared environment that includes areas for Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics and Geography. We also include art, music, drama, science, and play in our curriculum. Students work at their own pace and in their own way, mix freely with each other and form bonds of friendship and community. Our program is curated to meet the developmental needs of each child.
